SpaceX shares are flashing alarming signals of a possible decline just a few days after their historic debut on the Nasdaq exchange. Traders are drawing parallels between the current behavior of SPCX stock and the volatile listing of Tesla shares in 2010. Meanwhile, the market valuation of Elon Musk's space corporation is already rapidly approaching the $3 trillion mark.
Analysts' opinions are sharply divided. Some experts forecast a steep market correction as soon as selling pressure intensifies on the exchange. Supporters of the optimistic scenario believe that the extremely limited volume of shares in free float will be able to keep quotes at a high level for several more months.

A historic debut and an unprecedented market value
SpaceX officially set the final price for its shares at $135 during the offering, which took place on June 12. As a result of this move, the company managed to raise around $75 billion. In doing so, it completely beat the previous world record set by Saudi corporation Saudi Aramco, which raised $25.6 billion in 2019. The public offering is officially recognized as the largest in world history, thanks to which SpaceX instantly joined the list of the most valuable companies in the US.
Immediately after the opening of trading, the SPCX price rose by roughly 56%. The securities are now trading in a price range of around $213.95.
After the close of the main trading session, SpaceX's capitalization briefly reached the $3 trillion mark. Such a surge occurred amid expectations that the company's net revenue will amount to $18.7 billion for 2025.
The space company's current multiples have long left behind the figures of its own debut at a $2 trillion valuation. Moreover, its financial ratios substantially outpace any operating figures that Tesla demonstrated at the dawn of its stock-market history.
